Participant journey
Projects, requirements, and assessment
Submissions are made through pull requests in the cohort repository, including deploy URLs, metrics, and documentation. During Phase 1 review weeks, participants file a written GitHub review on every peer submission, then cast a private vote. The submission with the most votes is selected to operate the platform.
Onboarding
Phase 1 · Internal (review weeks)
- Weeks 2–4Project management platformReview weekDevelop a project management platform that the cohort will use to track projects, tasks, and assignments for the remainder of the semester.
- Weeks 5–6Internal communications platformReview weekDevelop an internal communications platform to replace Discord as the cohort's primary communication channel.
- Weeks 7–8Public showcase platformReview weekDevelop a public-facing website presenting the cohort to hiring partners and external audiences.
- Week 8Ecosystem unificationThe three Phase 1 winning platforms are integrated into a single linked ecosystem.
Phase 2 · External
- Weeks 9–11Learning applicationDevelop a learning application on a topic of your choice; success is measured by external user adoption.
- Weeks 12–15Startup ventureDevelop a complete venture package: investor materials, business plan, and a production application with external users.
- Weeks 9–16 (continuous)Open source contributionContribute at least one merged pull request to a qualified open-source project, tracked via a cohort tracking pull request.
